Summary
Henry’s eyes followed the trail of discarded sheets and stained scraps of cloth.
“Don’t you fucking move!”
The shout came from the far end of the room. He froze in place as commanded, slowly lifting both hands in the air and turning to face the man properly. There, tucked into the corner, draped loosely in a blanket and bleeding where he’d torn at his bandages, sat the man with his back pressed against the wall. A single trembling hand was outstretched towards Henry, and in it, a gun.

Life on the frontier hasn't always been kind to Henry, but he's managed to carve out a meager, solitary peace over the years. He has his bow, his horse, and his Mutt. What more could he need?After stumbling across the scene of an ambush, he discovers a lone survivor. And whether he's one of the victims or a hapless perpetrator, Henry's not sure. But the man's life hangs in the balance, and he has a choice to make.

Summary
During what was supposed to be a relaxing hunt, Hans encounters a threat he is wholly unprepared for. Just when things seem most dire though, he's saved by an unexpected champion: a lone wolf. Once the danger's passed, the beast even leads Hans to safety before mysteriously vanishing.
Normally, Hans wouldn't think much of it. But now, he can't stop seeing the wolf everywhere he goes. The creature seems to be stalking him; to what end, he can't decide.
The one thing he knows for certain, however - Henry is nowhere to be found.

Five times that Hans sees the wolf, and one time he doesn't.

Summary
Henry is the newest line cook at The Den, a restaurant just outside the city center in Prague, and is, quite frankly, taking it one day at a time. However, when offered the opportunity to showcase his true passion, baking, that he'd inherited from his Ma, he decides to take the chance.
Unfortunately for Henry, life loves to throw a curveball. That same day he has a run-in with a particularly obnoxious group of rich jerks causing a ruckus in the dining room, and decides to share with them a little working-class wisdom. Little did he know, life actually had several curveballs teed up, and now he can't stop running into the leader of that merry band: some pompous blonde prick with a stupidly pretty face.

They told him Henry was gone. Taken, not slain in any honest fashion; snatched by whatever godless thing hunted Kuttenberg after dark, with no body left to recover and no grave for Hans to weep over. Only the sword, which Hans had locked away because he could not bear the sight of it.
Yet Henry stands before him.
At first glance, he looks no different from usual: the same face, the same eyes, the same mouth. There is even colour in his cheeks, a faint flush doing poor work of hiding the pallor beneath, as though he has spent not weeks but months somewhere the sun could not reach.
Mutt does not come to greet him.

Summary
Years after being campers together, Henry returns as a camp counselor to find that Hans has as well. Which is entirely fine, given that they were such good friends all those years ago. The problem lies in the fact that Hans has gotten hot, really hot. An entirely survivable problem, having a crush on your childhood friend, right?
Until they get locked in the supply shed together, that is. And luckily for everyone, Henry completely forgets everything he's learned about first aid!

“I don’t know,” Hans mumbled. “Is there anything you’re not comfortable with?”
Henry had a hard time picturing ever being uncomfortable around Hans. Out of all the emotions he’d suffered since meeting him, that wasn’t one of them.
“I don’t think so. And you?”
Hans was silent for a moment, eyes fixed on the windshield. And then, just as Henry was about to return his own gaze to the scenery, Hans spoke in a low voice, barely louder than the music coming off the speakers.
“Can I kiss you?”
“Yes,” Henry said, the word escaping him before his heart had even had time to jump.
Hans finally glanced at him then, a small smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. His freckles popped against the rosy of his cheeks. Henry had always liked the color his skin took on sunny days.
Then, Hans grinned. “Eager, are you?”
And there it was. No, Henry couldn’t picture being uncomfortable around Hans. Exasperated, however, he had no problems imagining.

Henry wants to fit in in Radzig's upper-class world. Hans wants to avoid being pressured into an arranged marriage. What other possible option could they have but to pretend they're in a relationship?
