Rebecca looked out of the corner of her eye to see a young man with slicked back brown hair and… this was new… a full-grown mustache.
He noticed her watching him and gave her a little smile. “Almost didn’t make it,” he said, still panting. “First day of school, am I right?”
If Rebecca was thrown by the mustache, she was absolutely gobsmacked by his accent. It was deeply American… southern, maybe?

Summary
