“What are you talking about?” Grace's fingers played quick chords as he spoke. He didn’t even look as he did it, but it did not make them any less purposeful.
“Discussing possible reasons why Tau Ceti is not infected while other stars are,” Eva replied deftly. “I would invite you to join, but we were just finishing—”
“Oh, that’s easy.” His hand twisted a knob, and the notes came out sharper. “It is infected—Petrova Line and everything.”
In Grace's opinion, dreaming about time traveling is no excuse for getting out of practice with his Eridian. To the rest of the Petrova Taskforce, it seems a bit odd that their resident Astrophage expert has suddenly taken to carrying a keyboard around and playing it whenever he speaks. Eva Stratt resolves to figure out what is going on.

Ryland’s mouth opened, but nothing came out. His heart slammed against his ribs like it wanted to escape and hide under the desk with the class hamster. He was just Mr. Grace. The guy who drew cartoon planets on the board, who stayed late helping kids glue together messy dioramas of the solar system, who once spent an entire lunch period comforting a sobbing girl because her goldfish had “gone to the great fishbowl in the sky.” He graded spelling tests on vocabulary words like photosynthesis and asteroid. Aliens did not know his name. Aliens did not ask for science teachers.
The marker slipped from his fingers and clattered to the floor.

OR: 20% of the world population does not have a special ability, a quirk. 7% of Japan's entire population is quirkless. As expected, their lives are hard, so they had to adjust to survive. Izuku, even though now no longer quirkless, has still spent 14 years as one of them, and thus, has adjusted well.

Going to school the next day was at first one of the worst days of his life, but turned out for the best for Izuku at the end of the day.
“Oi you stupid nerd give it fucking back now!” Kacchan shouted at Midoriya
“What?”
“Give it back you just stole my fucking quirk you freak”
And so Midoriya finds out he’s has a quirk the entire time! Only he’s not sure how to use it legally… Oh well he’ll find a way he always does and now he has a quirk no one is going to stop him from being a hero…
