Summary
At the start of his senior year, Flux is feeling on top of the world. He's won the housing lottery and gotten into his top choice of classes. Even better, the newest season of Decayed and Decrepit (his current fandom obsession) premieres in a couple weeks. In fact, Flux is almost feeling good enough to believe that this might be the year in which he finally works up the courage to confess to his online best friend, Silas, about the years-long crush Flux has on him.
That is, until Saparata shows up: Flux's biggest academic rival and the most insufferable person on campus, who seems determined to ruin Flux's good mood and make his life a living hell.
or: the one in which Flux pines, writes fanfiction, mistakenly falls for the same person twice, and makes a lot of bad decisions along the way.

Chip reached one hand up, tilting Gillion’s head towards him, his fingers brushing against the reflective patches of scales dotting across Gillion’s cheeks and neck. His eyes widened minutely but he didn’t try and move away like Chip thought he would’ve.
“Is this okay?” Chip asked, holding him there, his other hand moving to grasp Gillion’s.
“Yes,” Gillion responded quietly

Summary
There are many dangerous things about Saparata, but by far the most dangerous is simply how well he knows Fluixon. It would be difficult to not know Flux, at this point, after cycling through what must be a million universes by now. He knows Flux's habits and patterns. He understands the things that Flux doesn't yet know about himself.
Which means when they spawn into a new world again, whatever uncountable number they’re on, Flux knows he's short on time. Because Saps is a heat-seeking missile, and Flux is his only target. Sooner or later, Saparata will find his way to him.
