The man huffs and groans in obvious pain, and finally falls backward, defeated. But as he does, he whispers the last verse of his spell, and it takes into effect even without Scathach’s notice. As he falls, his grip remains on Scathach’s wrists, pulling at them as he fell.
While Scathach was still thinking, one cult member had snuck up behind her again, his hands suddenly seizing her head by her temples.
Scathach raises an eyebrow again, skeptical. “That remains to be seen.”
