“Stop! Fuck you!” Jason yelled, grabbing onto Batman’s cape and tugging hard. He had to do something. He couldn’t let his Dad be taken away. The only family he had left. He’d gotten Willis back. Jason couldn’t lose him again. “Let him go!”
“I'm not going to hurt him, son," Batman lied, like he didn't beat up criminals at night since he was a total weirdo. “I'm going to help him, like he's done for me.”
A person wakes up in the corpse of Willis Todd. The result? Jason gets two dads, Dick gets a brother, and Bruce gets a boyfriend.

Aftershock (Noun) an after effect of a distressing or traumatic event.
Or, After Gotham war Jason goes back to the All Caste for help. He is left with permanent tremors in his hands because of the mental trauma. But he manages to heal after what Bruce did to him. Then Jason is called back to Gotham to deal with a problem only he can solve.

I don’t think he even really knows what to do with you. Which is why he’s left it up to me. So, if I were you I’d start thanking me for bringing you food and water.”
The slimy, shit-eating grin on the guy’s face is making Robert’s fists clench.
“No, I think I’m good,” he says, as cool and calm as he can manage.

Jason doesn’t know a lot about Gotham’s newest players. He’s been a little distracted sorting out his territory, and they haven’t made a move on Crime Alley or the Bowery yet. So it wasn’t at the top of his list.
But he knows the basics. He knows that there’s some sort of syndicate forming in Uptown, rallying behind the founder. Iron Man, he’d heard the leader was called, but not why. He’d heard more about Iron Man’s second hand, the shadow, the one his street rats call White Wolf with shaking voices.
White Wolf got sent out for cleanup.

The Commissioner embodies the word. There are tight wrinkles by his eyes and dour lines around his mouth. Strong swathes of grey cut through his hair.
“I would welcome you,” he says, eyes flinty, “but my boys don’t want you here, and frankly, I doubt you’re prepared for what you’re about to get into. None of you ever are.”
