But the more he falls into this obsession, the more the souls trapped in the Digital World begin to fear they may never leave and that their jailor has a whole darker side that fills them with both fear and longing.
Let's see where this leads, shall we?

Caine was only doing this because it was his job. That was the only reason.
It was his job to keep them happy, so sometimes he would have to admit defeat and do something that he hated doing with every fiber of his being- reuse an adventure.
He was only doing this because it was his job.
He was not doing this because he wanted to see them smile, and he definitely was not doing this because watching them in their element had made him feel something that he didn’t quite know how to name.

Summary
There are two people in the circus with similar trauma and wounds. They could find comfort in each other... if they learn to see each other as real.
This is going to be a slow burn. There will be smut, very eventually. But even in canon these two don't have a relationship, so to build that realistically without being totally OOC, we gotta start from the ground up. Canon compliant through episode 5, divergent after.

He doesn't know why he isn't panicking. His mind is stupidly clear for having just transmigrated between universes. Either an isekai buff or it's all just too ridiculous to yet register. Also, his midsection hurts, he should heal that. Oh! Guess original Sukuna's abilities integrated into him completely. Controlling cursed energy feels completely natural. Atleast there's that. Should he ever want to kill somebody or himself he'll have no problems.
Or; some random dude gets thrust into Sukuna's position and thus has to navigate (and fix— his morals demand) the world of Jjk without fucking things up too bad and going insane in the process
