Summary
When a letter arrives at Ava Kline's doorstep, she's thrown into the world of the Library. There she meets Flynn Carson, the current Librarian; his Guardian Eve Baird; and the trio of Cassandra Cillian, an expert in physics, science, and math; Ezekiel Jones, a master thief; and a blue-eyed Oklahoma boy with a knack for art, architecture, and literature named Jacob Stone.

“Can I ask you a question?” he asked, hands fiddling with the sand again “ obviously tell me to piss off if you want to be alone-” he quickly followed up, looking up at you. You turned your body slightly so you were facing him. “Shoot” you responded quick enough to reassure him that you weren’t pissed off.
“If… “ he paused, looking at the water briefly, before turning back to you to continue “if you thought you were in love with someone, and that they loved you back, but had found out they think that instead you’re bullshit-” he put a fair amount of bitter emphasis on the word “what would you do?” he finished, his doe brown eyes swirling with several emotions.
You thought for a moment, letting the question hang between you, you found yourself also looking in the sand and finding a smooth pebble let your fingers run over the flat surface of it, removing the last grits of sand.

Falling in love with him was the easy part of this whole arrangement.
The rest of it was what hurt.
That stinging feeling in your heart when you caught his gaze lingering on the back of Nancy Wheeler’s head. When he would pass her something and his fingers brushed her skin ever so slightly but it was enough to make him flush. Steve Harrington was so hopelessly in love with her. It made you want to hurl.
Reader is a Henderson bc I'm a sucker for sibling Au's and makes a deal with Steve to get the girl of his dreams. That girl not being you, however. Going to be a long slow burn so my chapters are hopefully going to be moderate length but plentiful :) Hope you stick around!
Update: I promise you 15 is in the works at about 75% complete, but life is tearing it’s ugly head with school, work and the rona beating my ass but I will upload as soon as I can muster the strength to finish, I hope you all stay patient with me <3
