“Hale, Mr Hi,” Agent Stilinski says, before visibly cringing, bringing a hand up to rub sheepishly at the back of his neck. “I mean – shit. Hi, Mr Hale. Thanks for, uh. Thanks for coming down.”
“It’s no problem.” Derek squints, turning his head to cast eyes around the area before returning his focus. “Shouldn’t you be a little more aware of your surroundings, with a feral omega on the loose?”
The guy bristles, frowning as he shoves hands into his pockets. “I wasn’t expecting you to get here so quickly.”
“Because the omega will be sure to send an invitation letting you know to expect them,” Derek says drily.
