So, this is a mashup between Heated Rivalry and the NHL and 9-1-1. It doesn't really follow canon in either direction so suspend belief. Wholly inaccurate, highly unlikely, written because my muse is beating me mercilessly.
Also, Buck is erudite. Trust me.
If they're speaking Russian I've tried to italicize it for clarity.
This was inspired by https://archiveofourown.org/works/27243244 Evan Buckley aka The Machine. Read it, it's hilarious. I took the Russian background for Buck and twisted it for this story, the barest *kiss* so that my 'mash mash mash' together would run smoothly. In other news, vodka IS made from potatoes.
Last note-Ilya's costume was inspired by my first hockey player I ever adored, the American legend, #88 Patrick Kane and his legendary All Star goal shot dressed as Superman. -
