Summary
After returning from the Underworld to Red Grave City with his twin brother, Dante, and successfully severing the Qliphoth roots that had tampered with the human world above, Vergil finds himself to be struggling to get accustomed to human life again. As a half-demon, half-man, he had neglected his humanity in his pursuit for power. After all, it was the only way he could survive in the demon world. But now, as he was living amongst humans again as he once did many years ago, he had thought his biggest struggle would be to live with his insufferable little brother. Little did he know it would be the girl who would soon teach him what it truly meant to be human.
Perhaps there truly is a calm before the storm.

The day you met was fairly normal for most folks who lived in the city, surrounded by crime, sex work, and the occasional odd devil if you were down on your luck. Luckily, they preferred the smell of fresh people-meat rather than the lovely smells arising from the local bakery in the immediate ten-block radius, give or take a few odd squares. Like most other shops, it doubled in the building with another business, or simply as both.
