Eva feels like the breath is knocked out of her lungs when the man walks in.
Dirty blond hair. Blue eyes. Sort of like… if Ryland Grace was hit by a car several times. It was undeniably him.
“So you’re Eva Stratt,” The man says gruffly, slamming both hands on her desk. He looked exactly like Ryland, it was terrifying. It felt like watching a ghost haunt her in real life.

Summary
Years ago, Earth had been destroyed by a psychopathic sentient computer virus, leaving humanity without its birthplace. In fear, humans fled as far as they could, finding new systems to colonize and conquer, deliberately doing as much as they could to keep the evil away.
On Copper-9, there are no more living humans. At least, that was the case until the local drone population decided to explore the rest of their planet. Only a handful of functional cyropods were left of humanity's legacy upon the world of drones, the sole survivors of the species.
In order to keep their sovereignty, the drones decide to send out a signal to any human vessels that might be drifting through the stars. A simple message inviting any willing ship to their home: "Come get your humans. We don't want them."

Summary
From where she’s pressed herself into the wall by the sealed entrance, Tessa can’t look away. The party-goers pound their fists against the doors, try to hide under tables, try anything to get away from the slaughter. She can only stare, eyes wide as people she recognises as close family members to complete strangers are reduced to meat and bones.
Eventually, the room is silent. Cyn has had her fill.
Cyn straightens her back and swivels her head to look at Tessa, as if finally remembering she’s in the room. There’s nowhere to run.
This is it.
She’s going to die.
The yellow X on Cyn’s visor glows brighter. “You are afraid – but don’t be,” Cyn’s robotic voice coos, enjoying every second of this, “I already told you, si-lly. I will no-t discard you.”
-----A Tessa Lives AU where Cyn decides she likes her human flesh-suits alive. Tessa experiences the Unfathomable Horrors (TM) that Cyn gets up to leading up to the events of the series, trapped in her own body and unable to stop any of it from happening.
