“Jesus, you really did miss me, didn’t you?” Bucky mutters.
Clint missed him so damn much, but his throat closes up when he thinks about admitting it out loud. He swallows down the spike of anger and grits his teeth, burying his face in the curve of Bucky’s neck and breathing for a moment, harsh and uneven.
He tries to slide away, but Bucky’s metal arm hooks around his waist and holds him in place. The solidness of it has Clint shivering.

An eyebrow raised, Bucky lowered the book he had been reading. He hadn‘t heard of either Natasha or Steve returning from their assignments and Tony had flown out to a conference. Bruce had been fine when they had enjoyed breakfast together. That only left Clint, who had slept peacefully according to the AI who he had asked about everyone when getting up. He got up anyway, already heading for the elevator. If he was wanted, he would follow the request.
„What am I needed for?“
„Agent Barton was admitted by emergency protocol one hour and thirteen minutes ago. Doctor Callahan ist requesting the presence of one of his emergency contacts“

Within a few hours Clint’s life gets turned upside down. And it HURT. Why was he even surprised ? Good times never lasted. Not for him anyway.
