"Fuck Zeus," Piper snapped, and Percy and Leo nodded in agreement. It seemed Mrs. O'Leary wanted to do the same, if not because she agreed, then because she wanted to feel included.

It wasn’t just indecent; it was a calculated insult, a silent proclamation that Perseus didn’t consider Jason worth the effort of proper decorum." I've heard a lot about you."
I bet, Jason thought, but he managed to keep his mouth shut. Instead, he said, " Me too, prince Perseus."
Jason wasn't stupid. Years in the army had taught him to keep his mouth shut in front of his superiors.
And Prince Perseus was certainly his superior, if not on paper, then in fact. What guarantees of protection could a bastard child have?

In retrospect, Keith would have understood that interrupting a person who was venting, who was on the verge of crying, in that way was an asshole thing. At that moment, however, he was more focused on solving a potential problem for the team and wasn't thinking about Lance. He hadn't thought about him for some time.
The punch he received after that sentence was more than deserved.######
Lance is angry and tired to be treated like the only problem of the paladins. Keith realizes too late that he could lose him.

Dick glared at him, as if to say, "Do you think this is the time to joke?" when Damian said, "He has to. Hate me, I mean. He hates Father, after all."

Anyone else would have tried to prove otherwise, perhaps leaving themselves in declarations of love that would have made Shakespeare cry or something like that. Lance didn't want the Bard to be bothered, but a declaration of love like in the movies he saw as a child would have been great.
Too bad Keith approached it all like a damn fight, and retorted, "You know what, I'm going to start dating him even harder."
"What's that supposed to mean?!"
Keith stood up, with difficulty, alone, his nose a little crooked and all red," You know what it means."
(Lance has a boyfriend, now. Veronica doesn't like said boyfriend. Not at all!)

I just want a beer, ” the stranger said, pulling off the mask to reveal a guy around his age, grinning like Zuko’s hostility was the best thing he’d heard all night. “Sokka, by the way. Nice to meet you, too.”
Zuko heard his ears ring. What a good first impression! He had treated him as if he were the real Jason.
(Zuko is not the party type. Everyone knows it and their mothers. With a personality like his, he is the least suitable type to be at a party. Sokka begs to differ.)

"Do I look like a girl to you?" a new voice intervened. No, correction. Not a new voice. Keith's voice. Next to Lance, another Keith appeared, this version in his thirties, maybe forties, tall, very muscular, and with damn beautiful hair. "What, do you want to admire my work, mini me?"
"You! Lance, why didn't you tell us he was back?!" Pidge yelled, as Lance covered his face with one hand, "I tried, but apparently you were busy too..."
"You knew it. You knew that Keith, our Keith, was coming today. You took advantage of it, you son of a..."
"Calm down, Pidge. I didn't do anything Lance didn't want to do. It isn’t true, love?”
(Keith's return with the paladins doesn't go as planned. There's already another Keith waiting for him, and he's all too attached to Lance.)
