Summary
When your life comes crashing down at a young age, some screws and more are definitely going to come loose and jumbled up. You can't remember what happened. Or, rather; you don't want to.
You couldn't do anything about it, couldn't control it.
And yet, you're burdened nightly. Burdened in your moments most isolated, by a voice that insists upon the notion that you could have done more. That you could have prevented something from happening. That pushing forward is for naught.
No matter how far you go in life, it will burden you unto eternity. That, is what you tell yourself anyways. However, perhaps...
Perhaps that will change. You've opened up a little more, shied away less from visages unfamiliar to you. And now? Maybe now, you can find something that'll pull you out from this dark haze.
Maybe even someone.
...You hope someone will.

six months ago, the cattenheimers' middle child went missing while exploring the woods, shaking hometown to its core. two months later, she returns with not a single hair out of place. it's weird, it's creepy, and apparently, only kris sees how suspicious it looks. but as long as she's safe and everyone's happy, that's all that matters.
