Summary
Harvey thought he had built a stone fortress around the part of him that used to hope – for anything, really. Fame, fortune, a chance at a soulmate. He thought he had walled off that part of himself, starved it of oxygen and sunlight and nutrients until there was no chance of growth. Of life.
He was wrong.
For the first time in a long time, Harvey reluctantly acknowledges that a fragile, delicate kind of hope has bloomed in his chest. It is nothing more than a seedling – a thin stem, see-through leaves, fully at the mercy of the animals around it. But still, stubbornly, despite his best efforts, it grows.

Summary
When Lewis announced that a new farmer was taking over Rosewood Farm, the townsfolk were abuzz with excitement.
Surely the new farmer is one of Arthur Mcleod's grandchildren, right? The Stoic Sean? The Happy-go-Lucky Reece? Or was it perhaps their favorite of the trio, the mischievous Rita? They'd be the right age to do well with the farm quickly and bring prosperity to their dying little town. They hoped it was one of the trio, more than anything else.
Sadly, however, all they knew was that the day the new farmer was to arrive the farm was promptly renamed by some stranger they had never seen before in their lives.
Little is known about Sabira Murphy, the newest member of Pelican Town's little circle of residents. Nobody knew her as a child, and nobody knows of her as an Adult. She is a stranger with no ties to the town as far as they are concerned, and this strange woman can only do more harm than good.
Unfortunately for them, Sabira has no intention of correcting their assumptions.
Is coexistence even possible?

Summary
"Maybe he should make that his mantra. Harvey Bowyer did not have place for emotions."
The war between the Ferngill Republic and the Gotoro Empire is finally over, but the scars it has left in the people remain. For Harvey Bowyer, the things he saw as a doctor on the front line still haunt him, it's easier to be numb than it is to feel at all.
Meanwhile, for Cass Fletcher, the aftermath of fighting in the war has taken its toll on her physically and mentally, and she has long since shut down the ability to fully experience emotions. When she gets the chance to start over on her grandfather's old farm, she reluctantly agrees in a last attempt to turn things around. Could this finally be the place that she finds peace, belonging and maybe let herself start to live again?
