It was a shirt, if it could be called as much, diaphanous, sheer and delicate, embroidered on the shoulders and tailored to hang in sheets of fabric so thinly woven he could barely make out the individual threads. Not a shirt then, almost more of a cloak or a drape. It fluttered in the warm breeze, and, not knowing what to make of it, he set it carefully aside and peered once more into the box.

Summary
Qifrey’s formal robes were a piece of art in their own right. Bankrolled by Beldaruit as a final graduation gift, they were a pale smoke, nearly white, and from what Olruggio could remember the golden embroidery was a sight to see. It vined along the bottom hem and wrapped organically around his throat, and when Olly had seen them for the first time he hadn’t known what to say. Qifrey had stepped forward to speak to him and he’d simply stared until gently reminded that he was still, in fact, capable of speech.
(Truthfully, just an elaborate set piece to put both dads in formal robes for an evening.)

"What kind of rumours?" He didn't dare take a step forward, yet the question just slipped through with no hesitation. Alaira turned around and giggled under her breath, most probably at the sight of an incoming blush painting his features.
She poorly covered her growing grin, "Ah, you know—Run of the mill." Glaring at her, she gave in and braced for any possible impact, be it verbal or even magical, "Some would say—or so I heard—that you guys are going out together at night to make up for lack of privacy in the Halls."
"Make up for lack of—We're not together!"

My attempt at a WHA–inspired twist on Valentine's Day with Qifrey as leading actor, Alaira & Beldaruit as supporting cast, and a very easily flustered Olruggio.
