Summary
Grace doesn't have a very good estimation of himself. He has no idea how much people genuinely like him, especially (most) of the people involved in this project. Ikukhina meets him, finds him adorable, and immediately decides to adopt him. Yáo is the only one who can even somewhat contain her but finds himself also somehow adopting Grace in the process.
Then Grace wakes up with amnesia.
What happens when Grace remembers he was sent against his will? What happens when he still meets Rocky first, they still have to go to Erid, and now the three of them have to duke it out for custody/best friend rights of Grace?
Updates every other day and has a heavy focus on the initial trio friendship before Rocky shows up, so it'll be a while before we meet our favorite alien spider rock

Grace misses touch.
He would be perfectly fine never having it again except for the fact that the last human hands he felt were holding his face in the dirt while he screamed.
Meanwhile, Rocky is growing agitated-- it is almost his molting cycle, and he has concerns about building a new shell.-------------
Grace thinks it's just coincidence or proximity when Rocky asks him to decorate pieces of the new carapace, or when the pieces he holds don't crumble in his atmosphere. Or when the hand that presses against the xenonite paneling during testing looks incredibly, insanely human.
It's just him projecting. Rocky wouldn't want that.

Eva Stratt has never been a woman who hesitates.

Summary
It’s been nearly 27 years since Eva Stratt forced Ryland Grace to board the Hail Mary and sent him off to his death for the greater good of mankind. Meanwhile, Eva and the Project Hail Mary team have been fighting a losing battle against the cooling sun—and their own demons—trying to make sure there were still people to be saved by the time the crew could send a solution home.
