He yawns, using the motion to cover his mouth, allowing his face to fall for just a single moment of anger at the sheer audacity before smoothly transitioning to the character of the innocent Yagami Light.
“What have you uncovered, L?” He asks into the empty air, gazing into the soulless camera, the eyes of the greatest detective in the world.
“A single incident. Perhaps the only recorded mistake you have made in the entirety of your lifetime” L’s modulated voice responds.

Summary
Charlie Swan thrives off of routine, the last 15 years of his life focused solely on owning the only cafe in Forks. One rainy afternoon, the new town doctor walks in and throws his entire life into the unknown. It isn’t enough that the man is beautiful, more beautiful than anyone Charlie has ever seen, but that he wants to get to know him. Charlie isn’t supposed to want new things, but he finds himself unable to truly turn away the golden-eyed newcomer.
Bella Swan works part-time at her father’s cafe, and is content with her rainy life since moving to Forks to live with her father two years ago. But as she’s working, a group of beautiful strangers walk in through the door. Bella is in awe of them, especially the blonde woman that seems to hate her from the start. Instead of hating her back, Bella wants to see her again.
Edward Cullen just moved to Forks with his family, and he’s doing just fine. He revels in his solitary time, but it’s all thrown to the wayside when he locks eyes with a man that he knows isn’t human. That means he's dangerous, especially when he hears his thoughts when he sees Edward: bloodsucker, vampire. Despite the threat, Edward isn’t sure his decades of control can hold for much longer.

Debbie knew that her son was not like others when the silence followed him. Mark Grayson didn't understand the world, he didn't understand the feelings within him that lurked since birth, and he didn't understand William Clockwell. Even when he would be the quiet kid, when he would utilise his powers for things that would make people feel revulsion if they ever found out, he realised more and more how he needed William when he grew older.
It was true that the world didn't make sense, but William helped him to understand. That was all that Mark needed, and the rest of the world could burn.
