His voice is as rough and soft as the sand between her toes, scratching between their legs despite their retreat into a smooth-worn cave, carried between them. (She will be washing it out of her hair for days, and she is almost glad of it, glad that this day will stick to her, rough as his hands on the soft skin of her hips, as the scrape of their inevitable parting on their tender souls.) His eyes are just as she dreamed, warm and molten, depths she could drown in. Depths she almost wishes she could drown in, dive into and never resurface again.
Elizabeth and Will finally get their wedding night . . . though neither of them expected it to turn out like this.
