Caine has always been infatuated by Jax. Immediately, he’d loved his adventures and had given positive feedback everyday. The only downside to his attention was that it was shared. But that was alright, all Caine had to do was get rid of the one Jax liked the most and turn the others against him. Easy!
And easy it was, now all alone with no support system, Jax was so easy to manipulate, he didn’t even realize anything was off until it was too late.
The new problem was the semi-new member, who had taken it upon themself to stay between Caine and his Jax. But, maybe this even newer member could be useful, if Caine could just turn her against him, too.Bookmarked by Casto

Summary
You're like a, a," Jax snapped his fingers, "A dog."
"A dog?" Caine crumpled the top hat against his chest in an iron grip.
"Yeah, a dog." Jax drawled as though he were speaking to someone particularly slow, "You know what those are, right?"
Jax was getting sick of it here, and Caine certainly wasn't helping. But it wasn't real, he reminded himself. He'd been having to remind himself of that a lot, lately.

Summary
Begins mid episode 8: Unable to watch his friends get tortured anymore, Jax puts himself between the Ringmaster and them, subjecting himself to the attention of a spiraling Caine who doesn't understand his feelings towards Jax. Jax, struggling to balance the different personas of Caine's Placator and The Funny Guy, starts to use Caine is return. There's a happy ending this time guys, I swear.
