He looked at his comments anyway. Maybe it was boredom, some kind of circling apathy, a self-destructive impulse that drove him to rake his nails down his arms whenever he failed a run, if only to rid himself of the burning impotency under his skin. It didn’t matter.
He scrolled through them anyway, eyes half-glazed in that way they always were, exhausted yet begging him to do anything but sleep.
