Barry Allen really began to spiral with everything going downhill. It started with Eobard Thawne going after Leonard Snart right after he thought he killed Barry Allen. Flash felt better with the Rogues, felt safer and he just didn't know how to feel with everything. So, he stays, because he can't seem to tell Leonard Snart no, and he knows that's the best decision he's ever made.

"You shot me," Barry gasped as he tried to reach the bullet just below the wing of his back. He spun and looked at Joe West with shocked eyes, "You actually shot me." The hurt and betrayal didn't leave his words or face, he couldn't believe it.
Joe's small guilt look hardened once more. He gripped his gun tighter and stared at Barry. "You hang with Rogues; I'll treat you like a Rogue."

Summary
Barry expected the worst after being scented by Leonard, but when every alpha in the vicinity avoids him over it, Barry is thrilled that he can finally get some work done at the precinct. During a visit to Iron Heights, Leonard offers to scent him again during a conjugal, so of course Barry's going to do it. It's just scenting, and it's not as if Leonard will have his cold gun. What could possibly happen?

Summary
It’s his firm belief that he won’t shoot him that keeps Barry from reacting in time.
Snart pulls the trigger. The gun shoots a stream of heat-sucking, speed-dampening cold directly at Barry’s face. Shock keeps him from moving out of the way. The cold hits him hard, freezing over his skin and icing his expression. It’s the only part of him that isn’t covered with the suit, so it hurts, and he barely notices that he falls, screaming and throwing his hands in front of his face. That only covers his hands with thick ice, weight dropping them like rocks. The ice starts moving, catching just about every part of his body that it can, and it burns. He drops, too, curling on the ground in an attempt to get away from the agony and the scalding ice.
Distantly, he hears someone yell his name. Distantly, he hears footsteps getting closer to him. The overwhelming bite of frost sinking into his bones quickly overtakes him, and snow-peppered eyelashes slip closed. It’s over quicker than he could’ve ever expected.
