He turned to attempt to glare – and stopped short.
Dr. Garcia was standing in the doorway looking uncharacteristically uncertain. What was she doing here? Had he somehow summoned her by thinking about her? She’d definitely come out of Santos’s room, and not the front door. Her hair was down and she was wearing civilian clothes (not scrubs. Jeans and some kind of cool leather jacket…something one might wear to a bar maybe? Whitaker immediately backed off that thought, unwilling to let his brain picture Santos and Garcia in a bar together.)
“Oh – uh – Dr. Garcia – “
Garcia pursed her lips and raised her eyebrows. “Morning, Whitaker.”
