The words hung in the air between them, heavy and wrong. Durin heard them. He understood them. intellectually, at least. The sounds formed syllables, the syllables formed meaning, the meaning formed a question....
But his heart hadn't caught up....

His heart was still on the floor of the Sanctuary, holding a body that wouldn't wake up...

"No, no, it was perfect." Lohen's grin widened. "I was already winding up for the first strike when—" He mimed a shove with his whole body. "A random gust of wind hits me from the side and sends me tumbling downhill like a sack of potatoes. And when I got back up?" His expression crumpled into genuine tragedy. "Gone. Both of them. Just poof. Vanished into thin air."
Paimon tilted her head. "Huh? They just… disappeared?"
"Disappeared," Lohen repeated, the word bitter on his tongue. "I didn't even get to land a single hit. I had a bruised hand, nothing serious, I've had worse, and I was about to try fighting them one-handed just to make it interesting. And then the wind ruined everything."

He said it with the quiet awe of a scientist noting a bizarre natural phenomenon. Then, the implication seemed to hit him. His brow furrowed. "Why is it purple?" He looked up at Wanderer, confusion warring with the lingering panic. "People have red blood. I've seen it. Even Albedo has red blood. Why is yours.. different?"
Wanderer closed his eyes for a moment. The question was a minefield. Because I’m not people. Because I was built, not born. Because the fluid that animates me is a blend of elemental essence and liquid ambition. "It's.. a long story," he finally managed, opting for evasion. "A side effect of a terrible diet."

“Venti, someone saw you.”
There’s a pause. “Someone saw me,” Venti repeats.
“Nimrod,” Diluc nods. “Got drunk in Angel’s Share afterwards. Charles told me, which means that everyone in the bar must know by now, and probably half the city.” Then he mutters something about Kaeya, which Venti would address if he felt anything like normal. It’ll be fine, probably.
The idea of Nimrod knowing, of half of the city knowing –
Anemo rises up between Venti’s limbs before he can even put the idea into words. He doesn’t think about it, barely processing what he’s doing, before he blinks out in a flurry of teal.
(Venti intervenes with an Abyssal threat and gets caught. Mondstadt doesn't see him again for weeks.)

Summary
Paimon looked to the side, before repeating: “Durin…” she dragged on, waiting for the dragon to realise his mistake. When she understood he wouldn’t get it, she continued. “Did you call Hat Guy ‘mum’?”
Durin cocked his head, puzzled at her question. “What do you mean? No I didn’t, I—” he turned around towards the direction where he heard the footsteps. There he found Hat Guy standing besides the stairs with a dumbfounded expression on his face. Durin’s face dropped when he finally realised what had happened.
Durin calls the wrong person ‘mum’.
