Summary
Lucerys shares with her a look of shock, like he's as surprised he's on Aemond's lap as she is. He is also, she notes, wearing a dress of green. It's so like the ones she wears, the ones her mother wore, that she is fiercely scared Aemond might have stolen in from her room.
But then she remembers the whispers of tailors. Aemond and his scratches saying, He didn't want to wear it.
"Mother," Aemond says. He's the only one unbothered. "We weren't expecting you."
"I can see that." She watches a brief struggle where Lucerys tries to slide off Aemond's lap and is pulled closer still with Aemond's arm around his waist. Lucerys's ears turn to rose. Her son has never looked happier. "I can come back at a later time."
