Summary
A fictional European country adopted a specific law. This law divided part of its society into two groups: Caregivers and Companions. The Caregivers after undergoing mysterious examinations, receive the option to take a Companion under their care.
This law was meant to allow people with an aptitude for it to live with greater comfort, both those who enjoy caring for someone and those who need care. And so it was.
Until, one year after its introduction, the law changed and lowered the age of Companions to a controversial minimum of 8 years old. From there, it wasn't long before the age of consent was also lowered.
