Summary
Who WOULDN'T be happy to be fighting Godzilla? Isn't this the fondest wish of every mutant in their secret heart? Okay, Janine's mutation is, like, a brain thing, something like what the Hankster has aside from being gi-normous and, ever since Jubilee has known him, blue and furry, but if she were FIFTY FEET TALL that would even the odds some, wouldn't it?

Summary
(summary and tags contain SPOILERS for earlier works in the series!)
Shane and Ilya are champions. They are partners, and they’re in it for life. And people are starting to notice.
After being traumatically outed two years ago, Shane and Ilya's relationship and their lives have been fundamentally changed, and most days, Shane thinks that's a good thing. But sometimes, the pressure of being out, and the endless online speculation about #hollanov, and rumors running rampant through the NHL, and a new generation of rookies looking up to them, and the knowledge that everyone is relying on Shane Hollander to be perfect at all times—sometimes it's a lot.
But Shane's dealing with it. Ilya seems happier than he's ever been, and Shane just needs to get his act together to support his husband. He can do that. He needs to, and he will, if he doesn't crack under the pressure first.
They've got a second Stanley Cup to win, after all.

Summary
He fumbled in his right trouser pocket, then his left, then his jacket pockets increasingly frantically, checking them all a second time in case he had somehow missed the thin piece of plastic he needed.
It wasn’t there.
Shane had a horrible suspicion he knew where it was.
He thought back to draping his jacket over the back of the couch in Rozanov’s hotel room, folding his shirt and trousers and putting them in the same spot. His keycard must still be in Rozanov’s room.
He briefly considered just sleeping in the hallway.
(Shane leaves his keycard in Ilya's room. He has a breakdown. Ilya fixes it.)

Summary
“We can’t do this here,” Shane protests in a tone that is both unconvincing and totally at odds with the way he’s pulling at the front of Ilya’s shirt. “It’s not even nine o’clock, and this isn’t a fucking nightclub, it’s a respectable pub! Families eat here during the day. You’ll get us kicked out.”
“Mmm,” Ilya hums, biting softly at Shane’s throat. “Better keep quiet, then.
“Fuck,” Shane pants, shivering when Ilya slides a hand into his hair and pulls. “What’s gotten into you?”
“Missed you. Been dreaming of your mouth all week,” Ilya tells him. “Suck my dick, will you?”
“Fuck you,” Shane laughs, “I just drove for nearly two and a half hours to see you. I didn’t even stop at home first to drop off my bags. You haven’t even bought me a drink yet, asshole. You suck my dick!”
Ilya smirks slowly and raises an eyebrow, Shane blushes, and Ilya is momentarily transported to a totally different bathroom in Las Vegas back in 2014, and a very similar conversation.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Summary
Wyatt was not, like, nosy. For sure, he was interested. He was curious. He engaged with people, obviously, because most people were interesting and engaging and had cool thoughts and said neat stuff if you asked.
So, no. Wyatt wasn’t nosy, but he wasn’t stupid, either.
