    basically i finally found the 1949 movie online, saw alan ladd, and thought "that man needs to get bred" lmaooooooooooo of course my first fic is like this

    Jay Gatsby is an omega--not that you could tell that by anything but his diminutive stature. He's been buried under a haze of suppressants for years now in order to hide who, and what, he really is. Whether or not everyone believes him, Nick did...until he caught the hint of a desperate omega in heat on the Long Island breeze.

    Nick Carraway is an alpha--but he's, y'know, 'not like other alphas'. Because of course he isn't. They're all aggressive and hyper-sexual and running on the natural equivalent of 'roid rage all the time...yeah, he's different from THOSE guys. Promise. Except one particular omega seems to unlock that precious little box in his mind where he put all the instinct he'd denied.

    Neither of them expected to end up with one another. And yet...
