Summary
Bilbo Baggins had been betrothed to Lobelia Bracegirdle since birth, but after seeing her in bed with another, Bilbo finds himself seeking a different kind of future - preferably one without her in it.
Fortunately, there is a dwarven lord at a tavern in Bree, looking for an investment partner, and Bilbo Baggins just happens to sit on a very large marriage fund...
TW: Drinking, drunk dealings, cheating (not Thorin/Bilbo), insinuations of sexual harassment (not Thorin/Bilbo), general stupidity.
This may or may not contain 'crack'. I have no idea how humour works, but I do know they will wake up in the same bed within a very short time...

Bilbo gives a little laugh. “I thought it was a… a story for children. ‘Don’t strike a good fellow in anger’, my mother used to say,” he clears his throat and steps closer to Thorin, “because those who die badly will return until they have taken their revenge. They will return as dragons, and dragons have keen eyes, and will always find you no matter where you hide."
In the end, dragons are more useful in a battle than hobbits - but you have to lose one to get the other.
