The guy narrows his eyes at Cody a little, like he just revealed something about himself, "Are you ever not performing?"
It seems like something of a personal question coming from someone whose name he hasn't even learned, but maybe that's the point. Maybe he's meant to earn it.
"How about you find out?" he answers gamely, and knocks back the rest of his drink, like this is a done deal. In a way, it is. Cody knows a guy like this wouldn't still be here if it wasn't.
He smiles a little, as if he thinks Cody's confidence is funny, but appreciates it.
"My name is Noel," he offers then, and raises his glass up to toast to nothing, before downing it pointedly, smoothly.

Flash leans forward off the CD display, which shakes a little as he does so and topples a few more, “You guys are my favorite. The only other thing I listen to that’s any good is The Clash at Demonhead.”
Clash at Demonhead is in fact the CD display he’s destroying, and also the band of Peter’s ex boyfriend Harley, who’s well-lit, tiny face stares up at him at three different angles from the cases that are on the floor. The carpet is gray and compact, sort of like the rubber gravel they use to pad playgrounds.
