Picking up right after the incident in the last story, the BLU Scout finds himself navigating through an unexpected period of ceasefire. In a world where reality isn't as direct or as obvious as the RED and BLU that surround them - Scout struggles to control his spiraling emotions and unwanted thoughts towards the arbitrary concept of home, trust, family - and love. They’re here. Have patience. Those that you know are within these pages, though not as you know. Such is the way those within a story shift with the narrative.
This narrative brings with it a curse.
This narrative brings a blessing.
Both lasting and long.
It taints the magic of two children, whose paths will not cross until fifth year, when all is just beginning to crumble.
Only later will Two meet, and for now we will follow the story as it begins, with One.
One who is just starting to accept that cracks can be fixed.

Robert loved his father, he really did. But the only thing which could make the destruction of the Mech and his entire legacy worse, Robert decided, would be if his dad was here to see it. He might be temporarily retired as a superhero, drowning in thousands of dollars of credit card debt, fighting through chronic pain, unable to take revenge for his father’s killer, and working as the barely respected leader of a group of superpowered assholes… but at least he didn’t have to deal with that.
Or, Robert “Robbie” Robertson II gets transported to the future to witness his son at two steps above rock-bottom. Nobody takes it well.
Except Shroud. Shroud is having a fucking field day.

“Uh, I hate to say it, but the man has a point,” tall guy said. “I mean, I’m hacking his panic room right now, that’s a pretty threatening action. If I were him I’d feel very threatened.”
“Thank you,” Bucky said triumphantly, before belatedly realizing exactly what the man had just said. “And stop hacking my panic room!”
“Mmm hmm, okay,” tall guy said agreeably, a second before the the panic room locks disengaged with a dull clunk. Bucky careened away from the door and grabbed the closest weapon at hand, which happened to be the ladle he’d been holding when he’d made his slapdash retreat from the kitchen. It still had some romesco on it.
Maybe he could fling a bit of spicy sauce into the intruders’ eyes before they murdered him. Sure, he’d still be dead, but at least they’d have to break out the eye drops. Vengeance would be his.
