Alex shrugs. “Because I trust my boyfriend. You should really try it some time.”
“Max is not my boyfriend.” Charles makes sure to accentuate the ‘not’. “He has made that very clear.”
Across the parade trailer George is laughing very loudly at something Max has said, leaning over him and resting his hand on his shoulder.
Charles squints his eyes at them, trying his best not to march over and punch the shit out of that blonde, blue eyed son of a—Or; Charles keeps waiting for Max to choose him. At some point, he decides to stop waiting. Chaos ensues.

It’s not distracting. Max doesn’t obsess about it afterwards, during the press conference or the race weekend.
