Summary
Grace has extreme anxiety, has been on Erid for five years, the most stressed out a person can be. Wants to find more extra terrestrial life and craves seeing another human. He goes looking for life with Rocky on surrounding moons when he finds a moon with a blood ocean. He finds a submarine and inside despite the odds he finds not what he's looking for but what he needed, a human.
Simon has been in a coma stuck inside a half blood filled sub. Some how it had floated up to the surface and Simon had just been surviving by s stroke of pure luck. Grace finds him in this sub with a tree growing out of a giant creature and simons arm getting caught in the cross fire. Simon is extremely traumatized and thinks that any human left is out to get him to return him to the COI. He also suffers from the blood in the form of visions and dreams.
Grace saves Simon and they both adjust to each other and this new life for Simon on Erid. Grace is thrilled at another human but hesitant after Simon’s reaction to waking up, Simon thinks Grace wants to kill him, but they get through it together.
In summary Grace is (not) ok, Simon is not ok and they become slightly more ok together through the power of love and trauma bonding
