    “Eddie, please.” It was the same voice, sounding a bit closer now. Possibly more panicked, but he couldn’t be sure. If this was death, perhaps this was whoever was taking him.

    So Eddie obliged, eyelids slowly cracking open. Above him was an angel. It had to be, at least, he reasoned to himself, because no demon or grim reaper would look nearly this nice. His vision was fuzzy around the angel, but he could make out pretty dark eyes, a strong jawline, and pink, soft-looking lips. A barely-there smile cracked on Eddie’s lips at the familiarity.

    “I knew angels were s’posed to be pretty,” he murmured, words lagging together ever so slightly, “but you look just like Steve.”

    Or, Eddie thought he was dead, so it didn't matter that he spilled his secret to the pretty angel taking him to heaven.

    See, Steve didn’t mind much at all. Eddie wasn’t necessarily the type that he went for normally… and not because he’s a man. But he did have beautiful brown curls and big brown eyes… “Fuck.” He whispers.

    Maybe he did have a type. The fact of the matter is Steve has rules. He has lists... an then he has rules. His hospital relationship ruleset went as: 

    1. Don’t fuck your patients. 

    2.Pain causes weird shit. Confusion, boners, sometimes even what they thought was love. All which Eddie was displaying signs of.

    3. Patient relationships don’t last. Eddie was a rockstar, so many big shots walked through those doors promising to get them shit if they could pull the magic healing go-go juice on them. Like all it would take was a tap and a magic spell. The fact was Eddie Munson was very attractive, and sweet, and if he’s actually serious and not just a compulsory flirter, he might fuck Steve. But at the end of the day this was no fairy tale, he’s going to pick up and leave. Go on the rest of his tour. Get back to his life.  

    Or the one where Steve is a nurse and rockstar!Eddie is his patient who falls madly in love with him

    “I could ask you the same thing, Harrington,” Eddie hisses, jabs a finger into Steve’s chest. “Did you honestly bring me along as your plus one? To a date? With a guy who really thinks the Sex Pistols were on to something?”

    “What,” a date? Plus one? Steve doesn’t even know where to start. “What is a sex pistol?”

    “What,” Eddie says, parroting Steve’s confused tone back at him in a way that sounds unfairly boneheaded, “am I doing here,
    Steve?”

    (Or: Steve has good intentions, but does not realize that punks and metalheads are natural enemies)
