Summary
As the only two swordsmen among the Skylanders, it is of course only natural that Chop Chop and Ignitor would share some bond. A bond forged in training halls and shared missions and shared passion for the mastery of the blade. Two entirely different styles of mastery of course, but mastery all the same.
Their sparring sessions, naturally, become spectacles. Skylanders and civilians alike tend to gather where the two clash, called by a long game of telephone (“my sister's husband’s dad’s friend's uncle told me he saw them clearing an arena in the Mushroom Grove!”) and the excitement of seeing two heroes clash.

The logical thing to do as Amy fought the badniks would have been to step in and overpower her with numbers, but then again, he always found himself doing illogical things around Amy Rose. He preferred standing by and watching her as she ungracefully yet powerfully beat every single one of them up to a pulp, right up until he was the only one in the clearing left with her.

It’s on a nice day that Metal Sonic is sent on a scouting mission, the same day that Amy Rose goes birdwatching in the forest to relax... With orders of staying undetected without protocol for if he encountered a freedom fighter, perhaps this is the opportunity for Metal to assuage his curiosity for the pink hedgehog.
And maybe then, someday, he’d be able to make sense of the birds’ songs, as well as the melodies plaguing his own program. Melodies he was never made to make or learn.Emotional neglect, Amy Rose, birdwatching, and Metal learning to communicate through bird calls.
