Sawyer laughed, just to cut into the silence Bruno left. It meant Bruno wouldn’t do anything. He just didn’t want to say it aloud, “…I should not be surprised, I always knew you were a two-faced coward.”

Sawyer expects White to take the blame for the Theatre Incident, White fears Pierre would fire him if he said he were responsible, but Sawyer has expectations of loyalty and sacrifice their ‘relationship’ (of course it’s one sided).
