“What you thinking so hard about?” Clark asked, his large hand coming to rest lightly on Bruce’s thigh.
Bruce blinked out of his reverie, turning to look at Clark’s profile as the man focused on the road. His curls fluttered around in the breeze of the AC, and his eyes sparkled with energy from the sun. Clark’s red flannel shirt that Bruce pretended to hate was rolled up to his elbows, unintentionally showing off his powerful forearms. To Bruce, he was the most gorgeous man in the world.
“You.” Bruce replied, uncharacteristically sentimental.
He was rewarded with Clark’s small, shy smile, and traces of red colouring his cheeks, tracing up to the tips of his ears. Clark didn’t respond, and Bruce took some satisfaction in his ability to render Clark speechless, but he felt Clark’s love all the same, the other man gently squeezing his thigh.
“Get a room!” Dick gagged from the back, wriggling around with his seatbelt.
Bruce hit his head back against the headrest once more. It would be a long twenty minutes to Smallville.

Summary
Although Clark swore off Bruce Wayne after their awkward-but-revelatory tryst at the charity gala a few months back, Clark is also a nice man who was raised right-- so, since he keeps crossing paths with Batman anyway, he tries his best to be the bigger person. Even if Bruce is kind of a jerk. And also really hot. But also still a jerk.
When a case involves a Metropolis politician and a Gotham pharmaceutical corporation, however, he finds himself in much closer contact with Bruce than he intended or expected, and discovers he doesn't really hate it, either.

"You want to fuck me," Bruce says, crude. He looks away as Kal's eyes start to widen. "To… to get me pregnant, put your eggs in me. Your robot told me."
Sol isn't there to correct him. Bruce doesn't bother with the semantics anyway. It's much too late for that.
"It'll fix you," he whispers instead, voice quiet with his lover.
"I do…?" Kal asks breathlessly.
For some reason, he looks at Bruce as if he has gifted him his soul. As if the declaration only sounds entirely right to him, though Bruce is sure he hadn't even had an inkling of the thought before this moment. He has such a bright look in his eye that Bruce is being burned by it.
It's as if, when granted the idea that he and Bruce will start a family, it is the only correct answer in his brain. It makes Bruce pull his hand from Kal's, clinging onto the way his palm cools down as if it's a penance for the half-lie.
"Mm." Bruce pauses only for a moment. "I want that. If you're ready."

Or, Kal-El has imprinted on someone, and will die if he doesn't find a host for his eggs.
Bruce won't let that happen no matter the cost.

Summary
MC has to go feed the scary hellhound that lives under the house. Though the urge to pet the dog is strong in this one.
