Summary
The Hunter stood in the Dream now, breathing heavily. She holstered her pistol and leant against her metal cane. The Doll could sense the bee in the Hunter’s bonnet, so to speak. It was the reason she was animate now, after all.
The Hunter looked up, having caught her breath, and the Doll watched her frown deepen. She’d noticed the Doll looking back at her. Dutifully, the Doll stood from her perch, clasping her wooden hands in front of her, ready to properly welcome the Hunter to her home.
“Hello, good hunter.”

Hunters had long since stopped passing through the Dream, yet the Doll remained faithful, waiting for another to serve. When another finally enters the Dream, the age old relationship between Doll and Hunter becomes much more than either could expect, with the pair growing closer with each of the Hunter's visits to the Dream.

Summary
There are really no good reasons to come to Yharnam, especially generations after your family fled it, but a blood cancer killing you might be as close as it gets. Cecilia is desperate enough to try blood ministrations. Shouldn't kill her any faster, anyway. With for only company the journal of a crazy aunt, she journey towards the seat of the Healing Church.
She was actually quite surprised to find a cure there, and even more so to get caught in the Night of the Hunt. Cue a doomed attempt to get out of this with all of her limbs, her sanity and with any luck her health relatively intact. She might even succeed!
