“And God knows we appreciate it,” Benedict announced, accepting his drink while Alfred’s eyes grew impossibly wide while he accepted his.
“Well, except for Cressida, of course,” Pen corrected.
“To Pen!” The Bridgerton brothers clinked their glasses together and Sophie clinked hers with Pen’s, smiling widely.
Cressida tried to get Alfred to successfully sneer at the group together, but Alfred couldn’t take his eyes off of Penelope, which just incensed Cressida further. She turned back to Pen and leaned in to condescendingly say, “That’s really wild of you, Penelope. Three men in, what? Twenty years?”
“And me!” Sophie declared, eyes screaming die, bitch at Cressida.
