Summary
Heavily canon-compliant (but obviously fictional). Minho and Han have been best friends ever since they met in 2017. Minho, who has known he was gay since before he joined JYP, fell for Han instantly, but Han is still figuring himself out. The story starts in the end of 2021, during the prep for the Oddinary comeback. Han suddenly realizes that Minho is hot in a gay way. Heavy angst!!
Switches POVs between Han and Lee Know.

“What’s going on?” Jisung asks.
Chan doesn’t bother with pleasantries. He and Jisung keep in touch well enough through an ongoing text thread that he knows about the concept of Jisung’s upcoming album, the U.S. tour at the end of the year, that there is no one significant in Jisung’s life aside from the elderly neighbor that occasionally feeds his cat, Nana, and foists confusing baked goods like zucchini bread on him.
So, when Chan calls, he gets straight to business. “I want to talk to you about an interview.”
“An interview.” The word feels uncomfortable on Jisung’s tongue. It sticks in his throat, causes it to constrict.
Silence stretches between them before Chan admits, “Well, a little more than an interview. A docuseries, of sorts.”
(It’s been ten years since Jisung lost Minho and Stray Kids. Now, they’re telling the story.)

Because, like he thought before, it was really just wanting to practice, so he didn’t disappoint whatever girl he ended up dating someday. It could have been with anyone. Han and Minho navigate their own complicated feelings for each other while thrust together in a fake dating scenario devised to get Minho's ratings with the fans up.
Canon-adjacent. I took some liberties by eliminating the 9th, adjusting their dorm timeline, and a few other changes. Also, disclaimer that, while obviously Stray Kids members are real people, my depictions of them are purely fictional. I’m using their real timeline and events as a backdrop for a fictional story and I’m in no way insinuating these things actually happened. (I mean, cute if they did, but this story is straight from my imagination.)

“You're new,” Jisung proclaims.
Minho snorts. “Am I?”
“Well, I've never seen you here before.”
“Because you know all of their wedding guests?”
Jisung has to laugh. “I know most of Hyunjin’s side,” he says.
“Well obviously I’m a friend of Seungmin’s.”
Jisung pauses to stare, eyes narrowing with curiosity. “Yeah,” he plays along. “But you’re new.”
Minho chuckles. “You keep saying that. What does that mean?”
“I mean that you’re new. Here. Today. New. I’ve experienced this wedding over thirty times now and—” his breath hitches because he really just said that out loud, but there’s an immediate flicker in Minho’s eyes that has him exhaling with relief.
“Oh. Well.”
alternatively: In which Jisung gets stuck repeating the day when his best friend gets married, only to meet a brand new friendly face a month into the grueling experience.

“Are you okay?”
In lieu of convincing his vocal cords to do literally anything useful, Jisung nodded. The motion came out a little too enthusiastic, making him briefly dizzy. He reinforced it with a thumbs up, because apparently his body had decided that was the most reassuring option available.
What the hell are you doing?
Why aren’t you speaking?
“You didn’t hit your head or something, did you?”
Jisung shook his head immediately.
There was a beat of silence, then the stranger’s eyes widened, horror dawning fast.
“Oh, shit. Are you… Can you not speak?”
Before Jisung could get his two functioning brain cells to kick into gear, he was shaking his head again.
And there it was. The worst lie he’d ever told, without even opening his mouth to speak it.
Or: What happens when Minho is so hot it literally leaves Jisung speechless?
