Summary
Omega Seonghwa is arranged to marry Kim Hongjoong, one of the most powerful men in their new government. He’s expected, and even required, to have sons for Hongjoong so that his family line can continue. But what happens when he finally meets his new husband and he isn’t at all what Seonghwa thought he would be like. He’s weirdly kind and the staff at his house all seem so comfortable. With the looming presence of the resistance in the air, Seonghwa starts to suspect that things are done differently in the Kim household. Maybe he could learn to love it but only time would tell.

Chan reached forward again before the other could flinch away and this time, caught his chin in a strong grip. The omega struggled on instinct, though the effort was pitifully weak. His pulse thundered beneath Chan's fingertips, his eyes wide and breath shallow. He was utterly terrified. Chan tilted his head just enough to expose the side of the omega's neck and found confirmation of his suspicions.
A fading pack bite.
"So, you've been cast out."
Tears welled instantly in the omega's eyes, slowly drawing new trails down his dirty cheeks. Chan studied him in silence. He'd encountered his fair share of people who feigned helplessness, hoping to manipulate an alpha's protective instincts. This wasn't it. Up close, the omega looked even thinner than he'd first appeared and the fear in his eyes was no pretense.
"You poor thing," Chan said quietly, settling on pity.

Summary
