Summary
Even when the Hawaii-bound plane initially takes off for the teen girl-oriented wellness retreat, the situation looks dire. Nine girls, all in various stages of heartbreak, denial, and fury stuck together in the plane's cabin for twelve hours. However, when the plane crashes and the girls are left stranded on a remote island, reluctance to work together or move past their own issues could lead to their deaths. The girls must overcome these challenges not only to survive, but to work out how they arrived on the island in the first place.

Summary
Miraculously, Laura Lee survives the second plane crash, shifting the path she seemed destined to follow. Unfortunately, she's now stranded miles away from the other Yellowjackets, armed with only a compass and her faith to lead her home. Challenged in every aspect of her character, the former cabin-sweeper must fight and adapt to her circumstances to survive, even if it means losing some of the fundamental parts of herself.
Back at the cabin, the girls deal with the fallout of her death and the tensions the situation brings. Pent up in the cabin like a powder keg, a small spark could blow their fragile group apart. By the end of the winter, will there be anything for Laura Lee to come back to?
