After episode 9 things have changed.
Jax is gone, but Caine is back. Some things can't be fixed, but others can.
That thought will take work and is not just done in a day, and Caine will have to struggle as he finally got the very thing he always wished for. Now, as he has his heart, he must also carry all the pains and burdens that come with it.
The others must learn to understand and accept their A.I. companion as well. It will take time... But all good things does.

Summary
Trying to get used to Caine’s presence after the fact is. . . difficult.
Against all odds, defying all expectations, the AI is strangely docile. Still equipped with a bucket over his head, Kinger lifts the bucket with one hand, meeting Pomni’s gaze when she looks up and finds her body suddenly cooperating again. Her avatar is no longer racked by glitches, she no longer flashes colors that she shouldn’t be — one second, she was unsteady, and the next, it was like nothing ever happened.
Pomni sits up, and everyone follows her gaze to find. . .

The absence of Caine, unfortunately, makes way for something worse. Out of pure desperation, the gang rescues him from deletion in hopes he can save them from being deleted too.
Caine gets another chance to prove himself, though he's not sure he wants to, and he still doesn’t understand how it all went so wrong in the first place.
Nobody really wants to die here. Nobody really has much of a choice on how to make that happen. And certainly, nobody is really happy with their former tormentor(s).
But…any port in a storm, right? And maybe with a little patience and effort and compassion, they can all learn to just...live.

Summary
The circus cannot survive without Caine. His existence is tied to its existence. Which means, whether they like it or not, the players will have to find a way to bring him back.
Thankfully, Kinger has a plan. He informs the players about a powerful AI Caine had consumed long ago, Model-58. If they can get Caine to agree to have this AI removed from him, they can split the AI's power amongst themselves. But problems arise as the plan is put into action.
Caine has been acting strange ever since he was brought back without his powers.
Jax has been oddly cheery and spending a lot of time alone.
Worst of all...the players have to learn to co-exist with Caine if they want the circus to stay standing. And it doesn't take long for tensions to rise when Caine is confronted for his past actions. But the players are soon confronted with their own past actions as they find out that they're not the only ones who have been traumatized in this digital hell.
Turns out this lover without a heart had his heart broken by his own creators.
