In the few short days following the Sea Surge on Pabu, the Bad Batch assist the reconstruction in any ways they can. Phee comes to take Tech up to the Archium to put his brain to good use, and all the while, Tech's mind never stops running as he considers his place in this new environment, the facts and feelings it emotes, and the new and unfamiliar sensations it appears to be offering.

The item beside that, though, made him come up short. A large, perfect, glassy crystal in a serene indigo color was set on a copper base, like a jewel placed on its flat face so the pointed end normally installed in a ring was pointed upwards. It was about as large as his helmet, and it gleamed in the area lights—and he recognized something about it.
“All finished,” Phee announced, approaching. She came to a stop at his side, hanging her datapad on her belt. “See something you like?” she asked.
“This is Serennian,” Tech said. “Are—are there refugees from Serenno on Pabu?” His mind turned rapidly around. He’d often thought on Romar, the old man they had all met during the disastrous attempt to claim Count Dooku’s war chest. The man had been surprisingly kind to him, and his enthusiasm at Tech’s help in fixing his data tower had endeared him to Tech, a feeling he was not used to endowing to strangers.
Tech and Phee bond over an artifact in the Archium after the sea surge.
