Aino nodded, slurping at her tea.
"So where do we find moon remnants?"
Ah. That was quite the obstacle, wasn't it. Going head to head with the Frostmoon Scions over theirs had nearly brought Nod-Krai to the brink of civil war in the past – and the other large shard rested on the ocean floor under the Design Bureau.
"That could be a problem," he admitted. "The Remnants are exceedingly rare, a highly limited resource, and neither the Frostmoon Scions, nor the Fatui are likely to agree to share. Our best hope would likely be to scour the Nothing Passage for the smaller meteorite fragments that scattered there when the Fatui pulled down the moon’s shards some time ago."----
A few weeks after defeated-villain-on-probation Dottore becomes a permanent fixture at Aino's Krumkake Craftshop, the two mad geniuses decide to kick off their first bigger science project together, experimenting with the properties of kuuvahki. Arlecchino felt as though she was drawing her first proper breath in minutes. Cold sweat drenched her from head to toe. Her sleeveless top clung uncomfortably to her skin, soaked through, while the harsh sound of her own breathing echoed throughout the otherwise quiet room. After the extraction, her thoughts felt sluggish, as though the machine had taken more than just her fire.
“When you said you would ‘kill Dottore with your own hands’, did you only mean a specific segment?”
The 8-year-old kid looked straight at Arlecchino’s eyes.
