Summary
Mr Dominic Grayson, the proprietor and head designer of a famous London department store has finished building himself and his aunt a home in Avebury, Wilshire. Whilst on an errand, he comes across a number of diaries written by one of the owners from 1874. On one of the pages is discovered a single sheet of vellum on which is drawn a picture of hair. Dominic decides to modernise the design and have it printed on fabric to sell in his store.
Dominic Grayson's life is turned upside down by an unseen consequence of copying the design found in the diary; and the monster he unwittingly unleashes affects his life and those around him. This is a story of how he fights his demons, retains sanity and finds romance in the most unlikeliest of people.
Its also a story about hair, not to fetishize; (as both actors characters have the most wonderful hair I thought it too good an opportunity to miss) - but as a natural attractor. And what would happen if that attraction was taken too far, and exploited by an old, and manipulative ghost.

The Onyx Directive has an answer for that. So does Chief Director Armitage Hux, though his answer and theirs have never quite been the same.The thing about rebuilding someone is that you can't control what they become once they're breathing.
Or when you spend five years telling yourself that what you feel is strategy.

Kylo finds out Hux is an omega. Functionally it makes no difference -- everybody in the FO takes hormone control -- but every so often medical deems fit to have someone go through a rut/heat. Alpha/omegas are uncommon enough that it doesn't present real disruptions.
Kylo is excited. He's an alpha, and has never experienced being around an available omega. Omegas are supposed submissive, needy things -- according to Han's old romance novels and Snoke's gender essentialism 101, at least. And the glut of porn. Subjugating the general sounds appealing.
It turns out heat makes Hux mean. He's aggressive, hostile, and doesn't seem to give a fuck about Kylo or his fancy dick.

The driver, around his same age, turns to face him.
“Good morning,” the man greets him in a low, soft voice, and the butterflies in Ned's stomach are so fluttery that he thinks he might just float away.
