Summary
When Jon Snow is betrayed by his sworn brothers and left to die in the snow at Castle Black, it is not the end of his tale, but the beginning of another.
In death, he is called beyond the veil to a place of shadow and stone, where the blood of dragons speaks and the truth is revealed. He is not the bastard of Winterfell, but Orys Targaryen, son of Rhaegar and Lyanna, rightful head of house Targaryen and prophecy. There, he hears of the prince that was promised, and of a dream his father had of a dragon has three heads.
He returns to life in smoke and flame, reborn not alone but beside Shireen Baratheon, and with them from the ashes, dragons return to Westeros.

A broken man Beyond the Wall may not be as broken as he seems and as the ramifications of Northern Independence and Bran Stark being named King play out, House Targaryen and its last scion seek to have the last laugh.
