"Mir? You okay?" The voice soothed some of the irritation building in her and she turned to one of her trusted partners and fellow vampire hunter, Zoey.
"Yeah, it's just strange. There's been so many more vampires popping up all over the place recently, it seems every night we have to go out on patrol." She rubbed her gritty eyes, the vampire ash doing nothing but sucking out more moisture from them. "I feel like I haven't had a full night's sleep in months."
Zoey gave her a knowing grin, clapping a hand on her shoulder. "Considering the noises I hear from your room, I would imagine so." Mira's eyes slid in her direction, unamused, or trying to be.
"Ah, is that envy I hear in your voice?" Her eyes narrowed slightly, a small smirk curving her lips as she shifted to fully face the smaller woman.

Summary
Mira was an expert at reading people. Growing up with an elite, egotistical family that puts their image above all else can do that to you.
Another thing she was good at is Reconnaissance. Something she picked up from her observational skills as a hunter and a problem child that likes to pick a fight with people in her old Boarding School. Straight As couldn't even save her from getting expelled but she thought that school was shitty so it wasn't a total loss.
Where was she going with this?

Summary
Mira and Zoey have known since the beginning that their harmony would never be complete. The Honmoon never picked a third hunter. She could be dead for all they know.
Rumi has lived in the demon realm all her life, with a voice so powerful that it turns demons to dust and opens passageways in the Honmoon. The demons fear it, leaving her well enough alone. Gwi-ma tolerates her jabs because he cannot control her. Rumi is sick of the constant terror that seems to always follow her around, she could tell half of Gwi-ma's court to jump into a lava pit and they would scramble to do it.

Rumi is a liar and a fraud who wants nothing to do with the life she has been born into.
She shouldn't want to keep going back to the human world, but is it really such a bad thing? All she has to do is avoid the new generation of hunters and it'll all be fine.
