    Summary

All Angus Tully's mother wants for him is a good job in a well-paying office cubicle, a nice house with a big yard, and a beautiful, happy family. A pretty, modest wife who knows how to cook a good meal; and a few kids, two sons who'll play with toy trucks and a daughter in a frilly pink dress.

Angus Tully knows this isn't going to happen.

Because Angus Tully turned out to be a queer, just like his father.

    Summary

Casey Caliari turns eighteen in March, and so far, in his seventeen years, nine months, and eleven days of living, he knows exactly three things to be the absolute truth in the universe:
    1. Plugging his nose and breathing through his mouth will instantly pop his ears after swimming practice.
    2. His hair is red. Not strawberry blonde, not light, golden brown, red. According to his mother, it is completely owed to her Irish genes – they’re almost definitely the reason for his pale skin, smattering of freckles, soft green eyes, and tendency to sunburn, too. He inherited neither his half-Italian father’s dark hair, nor his tan complexion, nor his brown eyes, nor his lack of weakness to the sunlight.
    3. Kindness and politeness are the key to everything good in the universe.

So, when his mom calls him to inform Casey that their flight to retrieve him from Barton has been promptly canceled as soon as they booked it, he forces himself to take it in stride, breathing a sigh as he makes his lonely way to where he’s seen all the other “Holdovers” go.

    Summary

You never asked to be spending your Christmas stranded in the frostbitten tundra of Barton, New England. You also never asked be surrounded by such dire company: your estranged uncle that reeks of old tuna and loneliness, a grieving cook with a crippling addiction to old reruns of the Newlywed Game, and a foul tempered, foul mouthed, bullshitting beanpole of a boy.

But then again, as the Rolling Stones wrote - and as your brother once used to sing under his breath before he’d been dragged away to a distant country that he’d never come back from - 'you can’t always get what you want'.

Unbeknownst to you, the chilly, colourless corridors of the prestigious Barton Academy for Boys might just hold exactly what you need.

    Summary

Nick is more than happy to see that Gatsby had survived his near-death experience. More so than he'd like to admit, even to himself. The steady ground he has himself on begins to quake when it becomes obvious to him that Gatsby reciprocates his feelings, but he can't help that irking feeling that Gatsby only has it for him because of Daisy. Meanwhile, Gatsby makes it his mission to make sure that Nick understands that he loves him for him and no other reason. And, of course, that he'd never leave him again.
